Dr. Bryan Schmitz
Owner and Veterinarian
Dr. Bryan Schmitz grew up in Darke County, Ohio on his family’s dairy farm which his brother still owns and operates. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelors in Agriculture Engineering, and later with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. After graduation he practiced dairy production medicine in Napoleon, Ohio for two years before getting married and moving to Indiana. Dr. Schmitz then worked as a mixed animal practitioner at the Lynn Veterinary Hospital until 2007 when he purchased the Hartford Animal Clinic. In June 2013 he opened a second office here in Farmland. He and his wife, Camela, have five beautiful children, 3 spoiled house cats, and two crazy dogs in their home near Economy, Indiana.

Owner and Veterinarian
Dr. Camela Schmitz learned the value of hard work on her family’s dairy farm located in eastern Ohio. She graduated from Mt. Vernon Nazarene College with a Bachelors in Biology, and then moved on to The Ohio State University where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Following graduation she worked at a mixed animal practice in Ashland, Ohio before moving to Indiana. Dr. Schmitz worked at Kurtz Veterinary Clinic in Hagerstown for two years before joining her husband in practice. In between running two clinics and chasing after her children, Dr. Camela enjoys gardening.
Dr. Dustin Decker
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Dustin Decker joined Hartford Animal Clinic in 1997 after graduating from Purdue University's Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program. He enjoys caring for both small and large animals. He and his wife, a middle school teacher, are residents of neighboring Delaware County. They are the proud parents of three amazing children. He has always been actively involved with 4-H, and loves working with the kids and their animals. Dr. Decker also enjoys spending time with family and following Purdue sports.
